The new Mt. Juliet BPAC met at the City Hall on April 7. We discussed 3 projects to submit to the Nashville Area MPO: Active Transportation Program grant award. A pedestrian/bike bridge connecting Charlie Daniels Park to the high school, a sidewalk along Golden Bear Drive connecting the neighborhood next to the school and the school so that students can safely walk to school, and a sidewalk along the north side of Belinda City Parkway connecting Mundy Memorial Park to destinations in the Providence Shopping Center. The trail/greenway between CDP and the High School was tabled for the moment due to right-of-way concerns about the property outside of the City’s and Tuscan Garden’s control. The abstracts for the 2 other projects were turned in today. The abstracts were written by Mr. Andy Barlow.
The Town Center Greenway along West Division has been fully funded and engineered, and will hopefully start construction in June.
Next meeting will be Mon., May 5 at 6:30.
